CPD Sessions

Durham County Football Association is arranging Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Sessions during 2020 in Darlington. This training is free to attend, with spaces limited on a first come first served basis and exclusive for Durham FA referees only.

Details of Courses

The following courses will be held at Eastbourne Sports Complex, Bourne Avenue, Darlington DL1 1LD.

Thursday 6 February 2020 – 6.30pm to 8.00pm – Theory

Denial of Obvious Goalscoring Opportunity
-Focusing on identifying the criteria of DOGSO

Monday 4 May 2020 – 6.30pm to 8.00pm – Theory

Handball
– Focusing on identifying the criteria for penalising handball offences

Thursday 16 July 2020 – 6.30pm to 9.00pm – Theory and Practical

Assistant Referee
-Focusing on assistant refereeing techniques and judging offside, includes a practical exercise

Monday 1 October 2020 – 6.30pm to 8.00pm – Theory

Foul Challenges
– Focussing on differentiating between careless, reckless and excessive force
